Peter applied to be part of CPI because he felt that it was important that all neighborhoods, including Mayfair, develop a neighborhood plan. His neighborhood needed to gather and compile data on residents, businesses and institutions so that as a neighborhood, they could begin to link all of these parties together and build a stronger community.
Since graduating from CPI, Peter has continued to attend CPI electives and has helped to mentor other CPI participants from his area. Most recently, he has been closely involved with the Planning Commission’s North Delaware District Plan, as a member of the Steering Committee and participant in the public meetings.
Peter is currently the Northeast Quality of Life Coalition’s Zoning & Planning Chairperson and serves on the Mayfair-Holmesburg Thanksgiving Parade’s Executive Committee.

He was also on a committee to investigate the feasibility of a Business Improvement District (BID) in Mayfair (Frankford and Cottman Aves. Corridor). Peter attended the new zoning code training series, as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s training on Conservatorship law, which he believes is an effective new tool to combat blight. He was also appointed to the Board of Directors of Keep Philadelphia Beautiful.
Peter has worked for S. T. Hudson Engineers, Inc. since October 1994, a consulting firm in waterfront facilities engineering, where he specializes in Hydrographic & Sonar Surveys, Geomatics, and Permit Application technical support.
